A Good Night's Sleep

What wouldn't we all do for a good night's sleep.

Without sleep, or with low-quality sleep, we just feel like zombies.

Sleep is a vital process indispensable for good health. Lack of sleep, or low-quality sleep, have recently been shown to be related to quite a lot of unexpected health problems ranging from obesity to Alzheimer's.

Unfortunately, a lot among us have sleep issues.

Some of us have insomnia. They just can't seem to fall asleep, toss and turn in their beds for hours at night, and when they finally manage to grab at last that holy grail and drift into blissful oblivion... the buzzer sounds and it's time to get up. And, geez, do they have a hard time waking up now that they could at least grab some rest but are expected to get out of that lazy bed.

Others among us have hypersomnia. They need far more sleep than what the doctors usually recommend. The worst of it is that during their waking hours, all that they can feel is weary, worn-out and hazy.

Others still have low-quality sleep. They do sleep at night, but with frequent interruptions and even when it is not the case, they don't feel refreshed and vibrant when the time comes to get out of bed.

And we are not even talking about issues such as, for instance, narcolepsy - when people suddenly fall unexpectedly asleep in the middle of their daytime activities with no apparent reason. Or snoring. Or a whole host of other sleeping problems.

Sleep is a holy grail that sometimes just feels out of reach.

When this is our problem, most of us tend to turn to pills and prescription drugs... that only make matters worse.

Fortunately, there are more natural solutions that do not involve prescription drugs, complicated or unpleasant devices, that won't cost you a dime, but will work wonders.
